Thank you for your great ideas for Nobbys Headland. Expressions of interest from potential future operators now open.

Nobbys Headland

Nobbys Headland is one of Newcastle’s best vantage points with 360-degree views of the city, working harbour and Newcastle’s stunning coastline. It has been an active lighthouse for over 150 years and continues to safely direct ships in and out of Newcastle harbour. The site is an iconic and much-loved Newcastle landmark. There is significant interest in ongoing public access and future use of the buildings onsite.

Expressions of interest

Port Authority of New South Wales is now calling for expressions of interest from potential future operators of Nobbys Headland.

The aim of the expressions of interest process is to secure medium to long-term use for the site, ensuring community access is maintained and the cultural and historic significance preserved.

A summary from the community and stakeholder consultation is included in the expressions of interest documentation.
